When the truck isn't warmed up the truck often dies while coming to a stop especialy from higher speeds. I assumed a vacuum leak in the braking but couldn't find one and the choke works fine. Any ideas?

I'm still learning about the trucks, but I have a Mazda MX-3 that always died when stopping and it was the water temperature sensor! Not the one wire sensor for the gauge, the 2 (or 3) wire for the computer. Have no idea if this applies but if you checked vacuum, this retarded mazda thing might help. good luck man!

vacum booster / vacume leak
the booster takes vacume from your motor to to make the breaking easyer and you have a leak so when you break takes to much vacum out maybe intake manifold isnt caped off or lines are rotted its a simple fix

Checked the idle, somehow it was super low 600rpm i upped it to 800 and the problem went away and it idles sooth as new.

shoot wd40 at ur lines to find which one does it... once u shoot it, it will sound good again until the wd40 dries then ur motor will sound crappy again cuz the leak is back

be careful with the wd40, don't spray to much. i have heard of bad things happening from spraying to much, like BOOM!

It's all good now the carb was just outa wack. The previous owner really screwed it up and it's taken a while to work the bugs out, you fix one thing another problem surfaces but I think I may be through all that now (knock on wood).
