weber 34 or 38 whats the right choice?

I have a 88 b2200 thats under construction. I need to replace the carb and found a substantial amount of differance in the price of these two units. Can anyone give me the answer to this question.. Do I need to spend the extra bucks for the 38 or will the 34 do the job... Thanks

For a stock 2.2 application, you would want the 34. The 38 would be on the large side.

The 32/36 also works, and was the most popular carb for our trucks for a long while. They still are actually, if you can find them.

I just recently had the motor completly rebuilt but didnt do any majior mods for performance. I just want to clean up the engine compartment and would like to use the extra cash i would save on the 34 to by a header.
