ugly heatshield

just curious, if i leave off the heatshield in a fuel injected truck, what are my odds of melting something? I've seen plenty of stock headers on carburated engines............?

i doubt u will melt anything.U will have to watch plug wires for heat related issues like checkering and early failure because of the heat,but that is about all.BJ

get one made out of stainless....or if you are really concerned with heat have the stock manifold ceramic coated
