rebuild or not?

Hey guys I want to do a rebuild on my engine I did a compression test and the compression was fine So my question is do you think that I can just rebuild the head or do you think this will make to much conpression and screw things up in my block.

If ur compression is fine ur head is ok as well.Why do u want to rebuild it other than for practice.If it runs ok and doesnt use oil or coolant,id leave it alone and spend bucks on other things.BJ

I got a really bad tick and its smoking alot my valve seals a shot I tried to condition them but I can only do so much. I think it just needs to be rebuilt

you can change the hyd. lifters (ticking sound) & valve seals (smoking) w/o pulling the head...just need something to keep the valves from falling out of the head into the cylinderit self...

yep or a rope the rope tirck works pretty good as well and you dont have to buy that fitting. What color smoke is it
