Tranny Is Shot!!!!

Welp im on my way home from a e-town to louisville 30 miles max, i try to shift from 1st to second and BOOM it wouldnt go i mean wouldnt even attempt it so i pull over try all the gears, and i only got 3rd and 5th anyone else have this problem and hopefully its a simple fix? but by the way it feels it looks like its gonna have to be a whole new tranny.

why doesnt this suprise me hmmmmmm...

Some other possibilities but none are either cheap or easy: Bad clutch,bad throw out bearing,bad clutch slave cylinder,bad sychonizers in the tranny,broken shift linkage,and finally whole tranny ist el kaput.BJ

slave cyclinder = brand new. me and my dad are guessing shift linkage but hes gonna come over and check it out tommarow

when you were having probs with you driveshaft......

yeah i was thinking the same thing nyt

mine got real hard to shift.. I dont know what happened but it wasnt going into gear easily.. I poured a capfull or 2 of motor oil into the shifter base, where it bolts to teh tranny.. worked fine ever since.

i believe he's talking bout elizabethtown....?
