has anyone tried to swap a buick 3.8 in a b2200 yet?? is there a kit 4 doing this.. my 2.2 is just about dead. any hellp would b apreciated..
I got a good motor and tranny with some small mods if ur interested pm me....
holy shitzu. I got a 3.8L buick thats goin down hill fast... and a mazda thats goin uphill slow! never thought of combining them!!!!
my uncle used to have a mazda with a 3.8 buick engine in it when i was about 6 (no, i dont remember it, he was telling me about it when i got my old one)
he said it wasn't a very hard swap......
I've considered that swap for my 87 nissan.
i think ill put the 3.8 in this spring when 2.2 dies.. got a 2.0 in shed also. but needs rebuilt. id think id rather build the 3.8 can get quit a few horses out of it. and dont have to worry as much about cracked heads.. will keep u guys posted on how it go's thanx agian..
is it a 3.8 turbo out of a buick grand national? those little motors have been made into some serious powerplants, i've seen them chapping mustang 5.0's, and camaro's too at the dragstrip. if so a few mods and you could have some serious horses under the hood of the ole mazda!!
hey NYTRDR24
is that true? that sounds like it could be sweet anyone got any pics fo one in a mazda? would proboly smoke more then camaros and mustangs
guy on a chopper site i go to said that the Turbo-T (basically a GNX in sheeps (regals) clothing) and GNX engines can be built to put out well over 400 horsepower fairly easy.....
9 out of 10 "fast" mustangs and camaros are bone stock except for maybe a intake/exhaust upgrade.....
u stick 400+ hp in a light truck like a mazda and theres no way in hell a stockish mustang or camaro could touch it....granted you could get traction!
Yea you wont hook up worth crap off the line unless u get some big back tires, and a mustang or camaro will probably get u in the end b/c there rears geared lower then a mazda..
