reded out tail lights

If you use the Duplicolor Metalcast paint it does not reduce the light output at all.

for you guys that covered up your reverse lights. do they still shine white or does it change to red?

Sorry wasn't trying to make fun or anything, I haven't done it myself but I do know a guy that did his car ones and it had a pink hue, perhaps you could do the inside of the lens also to make it more red, or try fitting a red filter over the bulb.
Otherwise you could change the wiring to make the reversing bulb a extra braking one and fit a white LED strip above the license plate for your reversing light.

i think i'm just going to leave the reverse lights white. so did you guys just pull the lenses off and paint the inside? how dark do you paint them?
