sorry to jack your thread for a min.... but i was just sitting here thinking about how badass it would be to get a smooth front bumper from GK and graph the stamped mazda into it.... or if its not to tall graph it to a smooth roll pan... just for something different.......

G is an upside down A

But to make it a G you have to flip the A. Which takes it from being pressed in, to being pressed out. So it wouldn't work. Unless you can reverse physics.

But if you had a smoothed tailgate. You could get letters made up in a machine shop and then weld them into place and use to metal filler to smooth it up and avoid it getting dodgy overtime(due to tailgates having high vibration). And you could get whatever you want put on there then. I was thinking about getting JAKE made up and welding that into place. Would look better than a vinyl sticker.

that is a cool idea. Just as cool as those doors with the stamp in the bottom.

just a thought for the 'g' aren't the pre 85 trucks tailgates bulged out instead of stamped in? maybe one of those 'a's would work

ooooooohhhhh someone's on the ball!

Actually you know, just using vinyl like the later tailgates would be a much cheaper and easier alternative. Just get all the letters made up at a sign shop.

But to pull it off with a stamped gate would just be cool.
