I'm actually reading the book, "Heavier than Heaven", which is about the life of Nirvana front man Kurt Cobain.

Its pretty interesting so far, Kurt really had a tough time growing up, sometimes ending up sleeping in abandoned cars, hallways, public buildings, etc.

i understand that Kurt may have had a tough time, but was it of his own making?

IMO, yes. He reminds me of my step son quite a bit.

Kurt just hated authority, any authority. So he ended up going from home to home until he wore them all out.

According to the book, after the divorce of his parents he felt abandoned, and never did get along with either parent after that.
