Crazy Canadians

Not sure if all you Canadians are this crazy but all I can really say is "WOW" Thats gotta be cold LOL

anybody that lives up there with snow all the time and that deep is crazy in my book to begin with. i hate the cold. But to jump in to that freezing ass water? more than crazy.

OK, to set the record straight. Canada is only cold maybe 4 months out of the year. Granted some of our areas are a hell of a lot colder than anything the US might experience. This video is from North Eastern Ontario, by the sound of their accent I'm thinking more towards Newfoundland or New Brunswick (I know this because I am Canadian). BUT the lake they're on is pretty small. Not like the lakes that the truckers traverse on the Ice Highway
Anyways, there are places in Canada that on average stay at minus 30 and lower all winter long. Ellesmere Island is the most northern point in Canada. Snow in August is not unheard of, Lake Louise is the highest point in Canada, and I have seen it snow in August there.

I live in Vancouver BC (Home of the 2010 Olympics) it is December 30th and it is currently 37F and cloudy, tomorrows high is going to be 45f and raining.

oh i know about the different parts of canada. Its always been a thing between me and all the canadians. I joke about there igloos and they joke about me being a redneck. But i just hate the cold and everything about it. if it gets down to 32F i can barely go outside and function haha. But none the less anybody that will jump in to a frozen lake is an idiot. Whether that lake is in canada or USA or hell china haha.

I have NEVER liked the cold. I grew up in So Cal and could only handle about 20 minutes up in the mountains in the snow.
Been living in Vegas for 12 years now... still hate winter!!!

With that said, I support anyone who makes statements like this:

Here on the coast, not much freezes. But the Pacific Ocean water temp is maybe 35

Ya we are crazy we definitly take our ice fishing seriously and swimming in cold water keeps you young and very frisky. LOL This year it has been cold but hey we still have 3 and half months to go.

lol i dont see how you crazy bastards dont go in to shock jumping in to freezing water like that.
