I am wanting my 6 lug in the rear again and i currently have a stock 8.8 thats 4 lug with a 5.0L. I was wondering if a stock 2.2 rearend will hold up witha 5.0L if i just regular drive the truck????
I know i would peel the tires every great once in awhile but not like everyday

You might get a couple years out of it.
Don't hope for more than that.

If your axle flanges are large enough, just have them re-drilled for 6 lugs.
At least that way you won't be stuck with the 4:10 Mazda gear.

Get a b2600i axle and run the rx7 turbo II differential. Limited slip and should hold up a bit better than the 2.2 axle.
