So I scored a great deal on a winter beater on Friday. $350 and traded my 83. I couldn't drive the 83 daily. It was way too cramped, had very little heat and needed some big repairs.

I scooped up this little 87 Grand Am from the junkyard. 4 brand new snow tires on it, new alternator and it runs freakin MINT. Power steering doesn't work, but that's the only mechanical issue with it and it's no big deal. This thing is going to kick ass for the winter.

No,the white stuff all over the interior is not spooge from the excitement of my new car LOL. The last owner was a drywaller.

Had to have a little fun with the Grand Am emblems

Hopefully this will be a good reliable run around for me. The 84 is in the garage being worked on for the winter.

LOL, pretty funny stuff Mikey. Around here those are pretty decent rides for the winter. Should be a little more reliable and comfortable than the Mazda as far as old man winter is concerned.

If this car was a 5 speed it would be an absolute hoot to drive, but mated to the 3 speed auto, it's really slow, but it is smooth. It's a nice car to drive and I like it, no matter how ugly it is lol.

I just installed a Sony headunit in it tonight and the stereo in this thing pounds! It's got to have aftermarket speakers, cuz GM 80s stereos do NOT sound this good.

actually if it has the same speakers as most, then they are nice delco 6/9"s in the back, those actually do pretty good for stock stuff... but more than likely been replaced...

Yeah, my buddy used to have an 85 Olds Delta88 coupe with stock Delco speakers and a Panasonic deck and that thing pounded hard, especially with 2 Kenwood 12s in the trunk.
