Well, I just had some people break down infront of my house. they overheated and blew a head, and possibly fried the rings. so I tried to help them out and eventually just hung out with them untill the tow truck showed up. When we were talking I mentioned I played guitar, and it turns out they did too, so I brought one out to pass the time while we waited. But it got me thinking... In these situations, how much is too much? I mean for total strangers. I think that inviting them in to watch tv and wait would be a little too much, unless it was too cold outside. haha what do you guys think?
wow totally random topic here... i would of let them use the phone and thats probably about it.... now a days you never know about people.....
if I don't get a sketchy vibe off people right away I'm usually cool with it. I'm the kind of person to give you the shirt off my back.
How many times have you found yourself in those situations and just had a door slammed in your face or be told 'sorry, can't help you', when the last thing you need is a shitty situation to get worse by having to deal with jerks who won't help out. Karma's a bitch.
I am with Mikey on this. I am a very giving person...not trusting though. If they act kool and not skethcy then I will try to help. Lord knows I have been there and will probably be there again in the future. Pay it forward.
one good favor returns another good favor!
whether for yourself or the folks who broke down at your place
Its all good as long as your not getting a bad vibe off them.If they seem alright theres no harm in BSing to pass the time.
exactly. sometimes its a good way to meet some interesting new people. sometimes you end up crossing paths with people for a reason
im with the other guys. Im the kind of person that will give you the shirt off my back. I stop and ask broke down people all the time if they need a hand or a phone or something. Ive never had a bad experience with helping people like that and until i do ill continue to do the same. Karma is a bitch and i love the saying cuz it is so true. Put yourself in there shoes. if they have shoes that is.
