Newnan is a pretty good area, it has seen a lot of growth over the last 5-10 years.

Well that house was a waste of time. So the search continues. We are looking anywhere around Atlanta. Whats your opinion on which areas are nice?

How close to Atlanta do you want to be?
Do you have a preference on which side of Atlanta?

Anywhere around when in an hour commute. I want south cause its closer to my family. But my wife likes north closer to the mountains. But from what I can tell the north is more expensive.

Pretty much the northern side has the nicer areas, you can get some fixer upper houses pretty cheap near the Atlanta Airport. Much of the city is getting redeveloped. What part of Atlanta will you be working in? It is a big city and traffic is bad so sometimes it will take you an hour just to get from one side to the other.

My wife will be the one working...as I stay home with the kids...YES I am the lucky one. But anyway she will be transfering down with her company or gettting a new job with a different company. We have been talking about this for the last 3 years. We've decided to just buy the house and then find the job. That way we get the house we want instead of just taking one in a hurry. Traffic we can handle, cause up here is gets insane. An my sister lives in Flowery Branch and I visited and seen the traffic in and around Atlanta. Up here her commute with no traffic is about 20 mintunes and with traffic it can go from 1 hour till 1 hour and a half.
