one of my accounts (chrysler) has declared the bankruptcy....and with it goes thousands more jobs....all across the states they are gonna start having cutbacks.....sigh. Is there no end in sight? Where is our new president that SWORE he was going to change and turn this economy around? What happened with the offshore jobs that were SUPPOSED to be returned to OUR shores? Jobs for AMERICANS!!!

Yea I am ranting and venting a bit....I have worked a total of 4 hours this week.....4 fucking hours? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? And if I want this to take off and go anywhere...I cant really take on another job and leave people hanging......what to do? Even my fallback career field has pretty much crapped out...last offer I got on anything dealing with that was just about 24 hours...and they of course want to spread it out all in a week...few hours here and there all week...SCREW THAT!! If you gonna offer me something like that...I will work it as I see fit...2 tens and then a halfday....and leave the rest of the week open to do something else to susbsidize my cash flow.

This is crap....it is causing stress, hypertension and a hundred other things I dont even wanna think about.

I say we over throw this fucking lousy government...anarchy man.....if they cant pull their heads out of their asses and see we are the ones suffering....a jobless country....then something needs to be done.

Sigh....sorry of I seem bitchy, I just cant take much anymore

feel free to throw out your thoughts and comments

LOL I know what you are saying. I thank god everyday that I have two almost full time jobs. I intentionally keep it that way. My main job used to be 100% sales and commission. Lets say until I went to a salary a few weeks ago I had barely made 25% of what I needed to pay bills for 3 months running. Fortunetly I get about 30 hours a week with my part time gig. Just hang in there and keep working...even if you hate your job now is not the time to quit.

I like the way the news media put it recently and I quote "Last month the US economy ONLY LOST 540,000 jobs,a big improvement over the preceding months."Well,Gol-l-l-e-e-e. I bet it wasnt a big improvement to the 540,000 poor bastards that got a pink slip --one of which was my youngest daughter-6 years on the job, perfect record, and the big pink sliperoonee. This economy sucks slimy ski rope in a big way,and as has been posted above, everyone in the District of Columbia has their collective heads up their collective arses so far they will never see the light of day.I hope the greedy SOBs on Wall Street and the commercial banks and real estate lenders who got us into this mess have a special place waiting for them in Hades.Waterboarding is way too good for them.By the way,how did we go from a gazillion dollar budget surplus under the Clinton admin to being flat broke after 8 years of George W. and his henchmen?Theres my rant.BJ

Now that is a very good question BJ. Hopefully the current administration can find some way of fixing (maybe only a small part) the past 8 years of mistakes.

yea...he did....but he is taking a stand against the billions being put out...denied a bunch of bailouts to a bunch of other companies and forcing other conglomerates to pay back their bailouts (IE...AIG again who has once again stuck their foot in their own ass and have just gotten themselves into even more debt and trouble with the name changing without approval...they were just trying to hide themselves so they wouldnt have to pay back...I think they need a interest hit myself...since we all as taxpayers have interest to be paid on ANY loan we get!)

Sigh I know its a rough time and I am not the only one having a hard time.....my folks to a horrible amount of hits in the past few years...dad got laid off after 27 years with a company and its a long story but the end came down to they used something against him to run him out...coincidentally I had just been called to interview with his very same company (I wonder who they were planning on replacing my dad with??? Dont take a rocket scientist to figure that one out) And then mom and dad both had to start working and dad gets diagnosed with kidney failure...got a new kidney and that seems to be working well as he is somewhat back to his old self...but then the company they worked for closed down and there went a few thousand more jobs...so now they are both out of work (and even with when they were both working, my brother and I helped out and supplemented their bills since they were still having hard times...helped with car payments, electric bills, doing things dad couldnt do around the house anymore...etc...) I am TRYING to keep my head held high and hope that a better future is in store....

I just wanna see our jobs brought back to OUR shores.....something that was PROMISED!!! Bush gave those companies so much in incentives for offshoring billions of jobs...and it was a way to line his pocket yet again.

I dont deny that 9-11 ever happened...and a tragic thing it was...but where has the war and the hunt for Osama gone too? Where is the news on that? It turned to a war in which another war was brought in...and has done nothing but cost this country BILLIONS of dollars! That money coulda went to our deficiet!

Whats the old line "Old men wage war,and young men get sent off to do the dying." 1 billion dollars a week pissed away in Iraq, and for what? 5 years times 52 weeks times 1 bil =serious money but worse than that 4500 US deaths and God (or Allah)only knows how many Iraquis have died. For what? The war moves to Afganistan which the Russians tried to conquer for 10 years and failed, and before them the Brits and before them the somebodys and before them Hannibal, etc. Stupid, stupid war.And by the way I have a right to say that because I did my time in OD in the 60s in a little Hellhole in SE Asia. And the arms makers get rich, and the government contractors (like Halliburton) get rich and we get laid off or "down-sized." I think that the next problem for the US is going to be that we got all these discontented vets coming back from 2-3 tours in Iraq, cant find a decent job,all us old Vnam era vets who have been pissed off for a while now,and a bunch of hard working laid off middle class folks are going to suddenly decide that we are getting screwed over big time, and then comes CLASS warfare, not racial conflict.Us against the rich bastards that are manipulating the system. Then the ca-ca really hits the whirring electric machine.Only two times in history outside the Civil War/Indian wars that American troops fired on other Americans: Kent State and the ARmy against the WWI vets who were in Washington trying to collect pay they were owed.Bad scenes, both.BJ

This is a very touchy subject, but 1 man isn't going to fuck up something that's been going down the shitter for years in a matter of a day. Cut the man some slack he's only been in office for a little over 100 days.

Dont take me wrong Nick...I am ALL for Obama....hell if I wasnt I wouldnt have voted...and as I stated earlier...first time in my entire life I have voted. I know its not some overnight rags to riches scenario.

I am just looking form my side...the republicans have been screwing us over for YEARS....and a HUGE part of me wonders why we keep votong them in? I keep seeing economic growth when the Dems are in office (not saying they are perfect by any means either)
