so ive been watching my neighbors backyard volvo build...

not sure what year but i want to say late 90s to early 00s, and for the last few months hes been pickin up parts from who knows where for almost dirt cheap. its boosted and boy is the f*cker fast! he just swapped out the ecu and auto tranny for a 5sp. 300 bucks was spent to swap the tranny... pulled it from a pull a part like scrapyard. installed himself. ive watched him and occasionally a buddy work on several vovlos, that they pick up for cheap, fix and turn around to sell them... apparently those damn volvos come stock with adjustable cam gears and even a simple swap from one set of stock cam gears to another set of stock cam gears can gain you 20hp easy on those things... he's currently trying to talk me into falling to the "dark side". his volvo is one hell of a sleeper... you wouldnt know it until he freakin spanked you with it... hes figuring it should run mid to high 12s as it currently sits...

he drove me around the block a while back with the auto tranny in it... we hit 80 before i knew it in a real short strip just leavin my house and goin like 2 maybe 3 blocks... it was insane. im really wantin to see what its like now with the 5sp and upgraded sway bar

Watch this video of a volvo wagon doing over 180. Its pretty freakin cool. The way the pulls away from the motorcycle at the end is great.

Yeah I think its a vette motor, but its freakin badass watching it pull away at the end.

yes it is a vette motor....and its insanely fast...1st and 2nd are basically useless he says. look up turbobrick.com (think it still exists) and watch some of those and punch in turbo brick and boosted volvo on youtube for some cool videos.

I want a brick again one day. I would love to get like a 67 volvo and upgrade it...there is german vid that shows one and its over 500 ponies to the wheels...can barely hold it on the road

oh and all sport bikes have a gentlemans agreement on them from the manufacturers....speed regged to 186...not governed or clipped...but thats a set limit they agreed upon....started back mid 90s area about when the 954 came about...even though the true sportbike revolution started with the 1993 cbr900rr...then yamaha turned the world on its seat with the 98 R1....
