i was watching the show the other night its about geothermal engineering, it had some pretty interesting stuff on there. it was about finding new means for energy. i used to big into drag racing, but now with more bills and all and the way everything is heading my current racing project has been sitting for some time. i used to burn fuel like no other and not think twice about it. but the weird weather, economy and all the talk has got me thinking now. i dont think, at least i hope, our need for fossil fuel drops drastically as i am starting to believe it could be the end of it all. i am a diesel technician for 18 wheelers, so i see a lot of the fuel wasting and destroying the atmosphere. i know the truck and car industry has changed drastically in the last couple of years, and the trucking industry is just about changing daily.
i saw a post on here a little while ago of a dude thinking of doing a hybrid swap. so im wondering is anyone else got any plans for going green? i used to think all the tree huggers were whining but im starting to see their side of the story.
also has anyone made any renovations to there home to save money and power? anyone on here using any kind of geothermal energy? if so lets here about it.
i used to agree dude but you have to admit the weather is different now than when we were young. the change is coming either way. if you dont change...change will change you
I am considering a VW Turbo diesel swap and then runngin used veggie oil. MMM McDonald French Fries. LOL
I try to turn off lights, turn thermo down or up when not home, run less water. I would love to get some solar panels but damn they are pricey up front.
yea they are expensive, but thats one of the things the show was talking about. this dude has come up with a silicone coating that can be applied to any surface but works as a solar panel. they were saying the roof on your house could be covered in it. but thats one of the problems a lot of those people had good ideas but they are waiting for the gov. to step in and help them with policies and funding. plus the gov would have to cap how much fossil fuels people used before most those ideas could take off, since america loves its fuel.
