i figured id show you guys my other hobby that i love. i started racing when i was 10 and im 21 now so ive been doin it over half my life. ive traveled all around the west coast running regional series, national races, special invite races over the years. the funny part about my kart is it probably puts out more HP to the wheels than my datsuns. its powered by a TM125cc that puts out 45hp out of the 6 speed gearbox.

We run a flathead Briggs, but it's fun for him, so that's what counts. That was lat year's kart. I'll post some pics of this year's soon.

sweet, thats what i started out racing was the briggs flathead motors. i didnt know people were still racing those. everything in sprint racing here has gone to the "animal" motor.

We're kind of in Podunk USA, so yeah, there are still several flatheads around here.

Our local track has also started a "clone" class for the Chinese version of the Hondas. Haven't been able to see them run yet, but it's supposed to be a less expensive/more fair alternative for the average Joe racer just starting out. Good luck to you!

they dont run the briggs animal motors over there? those are pretty cheap spec motors and are about the same power as the flathead.
and thanks. good luck to you and your son too
