the other night i was roaming ebay looking for parts for any of the 3 mazdas ive got, i came a across a center cap for the SE-5 wheels, and im short 1 for the complete set, so i email the guy to ask him if he would ship it to canada cuz it was listed in the auction, i get a reply back saying he would ship it to canada with no problem, the item was in NY and im in ontario near the U.S. border, so it not that far away
last night at about 3am i get home from a friends house to watch the IRL race, and i check the auction and there were only a few hours left and i was going to be awake when it ends, so i then decided to place my bid, well.. dosent ebay say fuck you! u cant bid on this item cuz u live in canada and the seller didnt specify the shipping to canada in his listing, so i emailed the seller again to see if he can do anything for me, i wake up today and the item sold for 5$ with one bid and i got no email back from the seller,

so im pissed!! again a canadian gets screwed on something for... well living in canada i guess,
i dont understand why there are so many auctions listed that wont ship to canada, what the big deal? if theres extra shipping the buyer has to pay it anyways, if its stuck in customs, its not the sellers fault, the buyer has to deal with it

theres my rant i could get more into details but im sure nobody wants to read something really long

and now im on the search for a center cap again

it doesnt cost the seller anymore, just the buyer the seller shouldnt have any worries

has anyone had problems with buying stuff in canada over ebay or anything?

is it just as bad as getting something to the U.S from canada?
we got it pretty bad up here

I used to have that issue Mike, but i live on a Border City, so to save myself the time and money, I get it shipped to my US Shipping address and then go pick it up & bring it across.

What you could do is go into your Personal settings in your Ebay account, and Change your Location to US, so that you don't have any issues with buying anything from anyone on ebay, regardless whether or not it says "this seller does not accept bids outside the US"... but i would confirm with the seller whether or not they will ship to canada, at an agreement with them first, Since i don't think you have a US shipping address like myself.

I always ask the seller to ship USPS and mark it as a warranty return. Has worked every time with no duty or "brokerage fees". The thing that I hate is when the seller charges you 5 times the regular shipping because its going to Canada.
