i have a mazda b2000 and i think someone swaped the engine in it for a 2200 but im not sure if they did or not because the heads are the same and they could of just swaped the head how can i be sure?>
Timing belt plastic cover should have a stamping too.
My guess is that there's an engine number somewhere.
Should be a 2.2 or a 2.0 cast in the side of the block. Also the 2.2 has hydraulic lifters (factory) while the 2.0 has mechanical rockers. 2.0 has 1 idler pulley for timing belt, 2.2 has 2.
whats the point in swaping them ? does a 2.2 make that much more power or is it parts are just easier to find
is to 2.2 or 2.0 going to be on the right side under the manifold or on the left under the intake
Under the exhaust manifold there will be either a 2.2 or a 2.0 cast into the metal. The numbers are almost center of the block on that side and a few inches underneath the exhaust manifold. The 2.2 does make a small amount of power over the 2.0, I mean small. Parts are just as easy to find for both blocks. Main difference I have seen is the 2.2 has the hydraulic lifters vs the 2.0 has the mechanical adjustable type.
also its not firing on 3 i got new plugs wires button cap but the carb was crap i got a new one coming would that cause the problem
