Since I couldnt find anything on search and there isnt a powertrain forum, I posted here. I am looking for the width of the b2200 differential from drum to drum.

Its been brought up before on another post and I posted the same thing. I posted this on another site im on.

"Oh, and to be more accurate about the hub-to-hub dimensions on all the rear ends, all of the 720 H190 housings (both 2WD & 4WD) are 55", the Hardbody & Frontier 2WD 4 cyl housings are 56 3/4", and the Hardbody 2WD V-6 H233 housing is 57 1/2". The 4WD Hardbodies (both 4 cyl & V-6) H233 housings are also 57 1/2", except the spring perches are on the top of the housing rather the bottom like the 2WD models (the 720 4WD's are similar in that the rear housing mounts on the underside of the leaf springs too, and the 2WD model housings mount above the leaf springs)."

Just found this. I found a couple of 720's out here so I may go that route if need be, an 84 mazda rear end is gunna be hard to come by.

S10 2wd are 54-3/8" wide

Pathfinder rear ends are 3.5 shorter and have rear disc also.

Ok so i could use a s-10 rear end as a replacement for a 87 b2200? The reason i ask is b/c there is already a built s10 rear with 4:11 and a locker. It would just be a hear narrower.

It isn't a bolt on if that's what you are asking.

But if you have the tools and the fabrication skills you could make it work.

Oh yeah I knew it wouldn't just bolt in. Sorry
I just meant for the width. All the pedistals are cut off and shock mounts are cut off so I would have to Fab those anyways.

You can use an S-10 rear. I am going to. Just know that you'll need a different offset wheel.
