vs the stock intake. There is a huge mismatch in this area.
I'm building the engine for my son's truck, and am making the Weber adapter, and noticed the same thing I did with my other engine.
The differences in sizes of the Weber vs the stock intake ports. I wonder if there is any HP to pick up by cutting away the excess material in the intake to match the Weber?
Or, is the work to benefits too low?
I would say it depends on how much work it's going to be free horsepower is always welcomed but if you have to spend days grinding/hogging out the intake just to get like 1 maybe 2hp well that just seems like a lot of work. But it all adds up in the end like adding the headers so with those two mods you'll gain like 5 to 7hp. These Mazda's need all the help they can get.
