Fuel pump spacer.

Maybe a dumb ?? What is the purpose of a fuel pump spacer on a 1992 B2200. Do i need it? <img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_confused.gif" alt=":?" title="Confused" /><!-- s:? -->

I was wondering the same thing. I replaced mine and the old one didn't have the spacer. The new one came with it but i didn't install it.
