i have a 92 2.2 mazda extcab when driving it will sudonly die truns over can smell gas wont start after let sit few hours will start buddy told me to look at dis for spark has no power going to dis but after sitting there is power to dis and will start .any help ideas

sounds like the carb could be flooding out while your driving it?

runs fine when running dies then will turn over and not start let it sit will start like i said cheak power at coil when dies no power then after it sits there power at coil and will start

ooh its a 92... is it fuel injected...? could be the ecu or the ignition relay. 2 major causes of what your describing. i had a similar problem, ended up being the ignition relay on mine, i replaced the dizzy, coil, had the ecu rebuilt, only for it to be the ignition relay...

i'd try the coil it might be breaking down once it gets hot and that would explain the raw gas smell.no sparky no fuel burning.
