So I'm helping a guy put air ride in his 66 impala an he has slam re-6 an re-7 bags an blitzluft valves. My question is which bags would go in the front an which in the rear, I'm guessing the 6's in front an 7's in the rear? The other thing is what is the pinouts for the valves? From what I found the two parallel contacts are the positive an negative, but are they picky on the polarity?

You got it man 6s front 7s rear, and no the valves aren't picky. Get ready those valves sound like an elephant lol

LOL, yes those valves are loud. But I am running slow down silencers in the daughters truck and with them installed the sound is not bad at all.

Speaking with experience with bagged Malibus I would run the 7s in the front. I had 6s in the front of my car and it took too much pressure to get it to ride height. it rode like a 2 ton truck with no load in it. it wasn't much of an improvement from riding on the bump stops from when it was static dropped. My buddy, on the otherhand, has 7s in the front of his and it rides like a decent street car should. Your ride height pressure in the back will most likely be so low you won't notice much of a difference between a 6 or 7 back there. Just make sure you guys run shocks front and back.

Thanks for the info on the bags an valves, he's also running the slowdown silencers. Now I'm fairly sure that I'll have to spiral cut all the cups except for the rear lowers so they will sit somewhat square. From what I read on the layitllow forum you bolt the upper cup in place of the front shock, the only thing is how would i go about bolting in the upper cup when there's a 2" hole where the hydraulics used to be?

Now the rear lowers would sit on top of the lower arm or should they get notched some to sit around it if it won't lay frame, since this is what he's after.

Here's what the car look's like, if some of you have a stash of Low Rider you might find the article in August 99 issue.

Excuse the cell pics if they're blurry.
