OK guys I'm wanting to get my truck lower in the front but since I'm running 17s now, that requires me to cut out my front fender wells. So I want to know if anyone runs their daily driver trucks like this, bagged or static dropped, and are there any cons to it. Did you have to build any kind of cover for your alternator for the rain or whatever. Any advice is helpful, just realize I DON'T have a welder so putting in trailer fenders or anything of that nature is out until my financial situation changes.

Thanks for looking!

Mine are cut, but not completely
I've had no problems, battery is in the bed.

Other than it being a PITA to clean under the hood

the rain wont hurt the alt, but the water will hurt your intakeif you suck water your motor will choke, there is a cap you can buy from the parts stores that go's over the air filter(if you have an aftermarket one) that keeps the water off it

OK as embarrassing as this is to post after the shot of DZMINIZ motor, here is what my air filter looks like, do they make a cover that will fit it?

And one more question. Will I have to do away with my cruise control unit? It doesn't work right now, but I wanna figure out what the problem is. (please say no, please say no, please say no) lol

for your cruise cont issue id pull the carb and slowly run a drill bit through your vac ports they get clogged up with carbon
