cut and extend one wire at a time, solder and use heat shrink tube, and tape her all up

thanks. I do wiring on our radar system in the marine corps so Im good at soldering and all ot that but where do i get the wire from. I know i need the same gauge. if you have any pics of how you routed or just of your engine bay that would help alot.

A little off subject but where are you stationed bro? I was in Jacksonville, NC from 99-04.
You can get the wire from any autoparts store. When I build my frame I am planning on running all the wires in the frame and have them come out where needed. Damn I can't wait to get home and get on that project! haha

I have been wondering the same thing. And what did you guys do with all the extra wires that you have after a carb install? Like all the electrical stuff that is only used with the stock carb. sorry not meaning to jack your thread.

With mine it was fairly easy cause I have a 2200. Most of my wires became unneccessary. I untaped my whole harness and started taking out the wires that didn't run to anything. Then to extend it I went to the junkyard and cut bout 3 feet of harness out of another truck to use so I could extend it with the same color wire. I could have used the excess wire I took out but I was being anal. The problem you are gonna have is yours is a 2600i. Most if not all your wires will have to stay. Like mike said its rerouting and cut one at a time.

id say your best bet is to do like mikey and get the harness from another truck in the junkyard and use the same color wires, if you run into a problem you wont have to guess which wire goes to where and it will cut down on the time trying to figure out which wire to hook up where as well.
