Drive line Question

I have an 86' b2000 single cab short box project right now. Well I bought this from a guy that had it in a million pieces, so my question is for the drive line. Is it a two piece or single shaft drive line. The guy told me he had to get his old one shortened but left it at the shop who was last building it. I was over there searching through a pile of drive lines and started thinking that I was unsure what I am looking for. Any help would be nice guys thanks.

They came in both 1 and 2 piece. The best thing to do is crawl up under your truck and look for the 2 studs hanging off the cross member approximately 18" behind the tail shaft of the transmission. If it does not have these it came with a 1 piece and if does you will want to run the 2 piece. Let me know if you need a 2 piece and I have 1 here I think. -Ed

i had a 1 piece and put a 2 piece in it with slip, so if he needed one badly why not just find any mazda shaft for the right body and trans and use it, if its a 1 or a 2 piece
