ok heres the deal i got a 88 mazda b2200 carburated ....i can buy a 2600i same as my truck standard cab short bed for a hundred bucks but the whole body is shot not one straight peice of sheetmetal on the truck...my truck is straight as an arrow....ok here is the question....can i just take the cab and bed off the 2600i and put my cab and bed on that frame??? i know i'll need all the wiring from the 2600 would there be any wiring problems since i have both trucks i figured i could switch over whatever i need but will everything else line up like where the shifter comes through the cab and all that any help would be greatly appreciated
and worse case senario ...if the frame of the 2600i is rotted how hard would it be to put that motor and tranny in my truck ..sorry if this has been covered before i didnt see anything
I have never done this, but I have owned a B2600i, B2000, and B2200 and all three were ext. cabs and all the body parts were interchangeable. I am 99% sure if you swap over the wiring and ECU then you should be able to accomplish exactly what you want. And end up with two sets of parts to pick the better of each piece as you go back together with it. Good luck and have fun. -Ed
the only thing that i know of that is different is the fire wall, the wall on the 2600i is bent a little different, dont thank it will make anything not work but i know they are different as for the trans hole they are in the same place ....hope you can do it
ok thanks guys. i fugured for a hundred bucks who cares if it dont work right i can scrap it for that price lol...after i take out what i want from it of course....ok i'm gonna pick this thing up and see how it goes...i think i might try to bag it while the body is off the frame cant get more access than that right.
sweet hell ya .... hope the frame is good...if not put it on yours..the motor mounts are little different but not to much mine are 2200 mounts on a 2600i motor so it will work
