Can someone tell me what this actually does?

After removing the dash and going thru some of the wiring I found this electronic box and wiring ziptied under the dash with the rest of the wiring. It is aparently something someone has added on later due to the wire nut connectors, lots of excess wire and, zipties.
The label reads Automatic Transmission Electronic Servo Electronics Module
I took several pics but this is the only one that was visible due to the flash.
top two circles on the tag are Power light (on left side) and, on the top right, engage light.
Middle left side is Centering Adjust screw
bottom right is System Sensitivity Adjust

I have not got into tracing down where the wiring actually goes from this box just yet. Anyone have a clue on this one?

After market Cruise possibly? if it didn't have factory cruise. That's my guess not %100 though

maybe something for a trans swap.

The truck was factory equipped with cruise but I removed it. It does have 2 wires that come from the box to the speedo cable back to where where it attaches to the trans. Also had a small loom of 5-6 wires that came up and into the plastic of the steering column. These wires were already cut and left for some reason. I am thinking I am just going to find where everything goes and then remove it all since the cruise is already gone, the loom was cut and, the speedo cable was broke, whatever it is, most likley wasn't working anyway.

Im going with traction control.

LOL...I hear ya. This truck doesnt have enought power to even spin up off the corners.

all kidding aside. What you have there is a seat ejection modular. At some point this truck must have been owned by a secret agent. Keep looking you may find more great stuff.

Must have been something with the cruise control...It wired into the speedo, a couple 12v wires and also the brake pedal.
