well after reading through some posts on welding i guess im not going to attempt my notch,4linf and bag set up on my own!!!!! i was gonna jump in with both feet and do it over the winter but my welding skills are minimal.....and the saftey facter keeps comming into play and i dont wanna hurt my self or anyone else on the road..lol...so the new plan is

i am going to do a stock floor body drop im gonna cnotch my frame but im gonna use a 4 inch pipe cut in half for a lil more axle travel and do a ball joint flip....im just gonna run my air shocks for now and im going with the main leaf with the second leaf flipped upside down ontop of the main

I think you need to start out on a c notch or something small man before just jumping into a body drop. Or get some little pieces or steel and test them on there this is what I did before I ever thought about welding anything serious and it helped alot and I knew I could trust my welds

im pretty good at sheet metel welding ...body panels and such that i could handle im 100% confident in that but dont wanna take on structal stuff until im 100% sure i can pull it off....dont get me wrong it WILL get done i have three frames to play with and practice on..they were going to the scrapper anyhow so ill just keep them around for crash test dummies so to speak

A stock floor bodydrop requires welding the frame???? unless you are going to chanel the body like they did back in the day... I would do a notch long before a stock floor.

the only frame mod to a stock floor is the frame horns for the radiator ,,,,,right ,,,i can handle that much

When you do a stock floor bd you basically make a new frame that fits under your cab... or hack up the existing frame so your cab and the bottom of the frame is flush (not recomended)... I dont know how you would do that with out welding...???

Maybe you want to do a custom floor body drop???

i want to cut the floor back of cab fierwalls drop the cab and reweld everything back up with filler plate.....sud i was talking about frame welding sheet metel isnt a problem
