does it still count? I am looking at 2 different mazdawgs....just not trucks right now...sometime later maybe....but I got my eye (well I should a friend eyeballed it for me) MX3 with a SUPPOSEDLY junk motor....but uh....yea...........the KL motors...arent interference motors...so a belt and a tensior and all should be good in the world...only problem...its 2.5 hours away...and I am stuck with a freakinng cadi I cant sell yet because the alt puked it on a test drive...of all times....god I hate that car....anyways...moving on....I also came across a lil protege'...99 year....unsure about the car itself.....havent got much history on it yet so I dunno yet.
MX3's are pretty cool little cars. 1.9 V6. Lots of torque and decent power out of them.
I know how you feel about the Caddy. I had a Catera last year and that thing was a nightmare. The headgasket and timing belt went on me and I haven't owned the car for a year and I still owe $3000 on it.
some mx-3,s had 4s and some had v-6s.The v-6 models have the v-6 emblem on the rear deck panel.if the Protege is at all in good shape, jump on it.They are stone cold reliable little cars with very few problems and 30+ MPG .BJ
I would take either...anything to be rid of this monster turd sitting in the yard....doesnt even move right now. LOL
I wuld like the Protege.....been waiting on the guy to email me back since its so cheap...especially for a 99....anything that runs and HOPEFULLY has air working on it...even if I gotta fill it a few times myself to keep it cold in there
turns out it will need at minmum a head....at best a engine swap.
cam bearings seized on it. so its either pay for a head and junk plus the car ($500 for the car) or get a 2.5 for it....or keep looking and meanwhile the cad sits still.
stupid car. LOL
