How many ya'll done it? Any pics? Tools required? (just basic I am guessing?)
Any info be helpful....since I FINALLY got my seal kit...I lifted the hood today and was looking into it...looks like I will have to start at say the compressor and work my way forward then to condensor/evap and then onto passenger side?
I have always just sent it in but I dont wanna pay a fortune to some guy for a system that is already completely drained of anything (I pressed on my valves (both high and low sides) and nothing comes out at all...so i am assuming its completely unpressurized now)
Thanks for any help.
Cant wait to get this done and have me some nice comfy COOOOOOLD air coming out again.
instead of waiting for an answer i'll just keep going. if you havent retrofitted your system from the factory R12 referigerant to R134a you'll need to as R12 isn't really available anymore. (it is but its getting expensive and you might as well do the conversion now and save money and time later, and R12 is going the way of the buffalo) The lubricants in R12 and R134a are different.
there is a process to retrofit, i found this website one time looking for info for my AC compressor.... it will help you out
