Hey guys, been awhile since I've logged in to ask a question. Anyway, since I ripped the emissions system out of my '89 B2200 to put in a new carb and a header, the A/C doesn't work so well. Basically, I hit the button and the RPM drops a couple hundred. I'm assuming the A/C was hooked into it. Is there a way to solve this problem seeing as Texas is pretty hot in the summer to have no A/C? Or is there just a different issue with the A/C I should get checked out?

the truck idles down cause your a/c compressor is kicking in and makes the engine work harder to turn it. it doesnt hook into any of the emissions. id do a leak test on it, its probably just low.

but do a laek test and i think you will have to convert it from r12 to 134a its just a few hook up things you can pick up at the local auto parts store
