ive asked a few local cops here about different things and most of them tell me they didnt know or they could check on it for me and im talking about veteran cops not rookies

If the frame is still straight, why don't you fix it? I had an old datsun that the same thing happened to. I bought another core support, cut the old one back to where the fenders tied into the cab, and then tied the two together with1x1 tubing. The core support just bolted to the frame and I made two welds to the 1x1 tubing. You dont need fender wells anyway. With the fenders and hood on, you can't tell.

the frame is still straight, but this one needs so much work that its gonna be easier and cheaper 2 start fresh

Its not legal, To drive with no front bumper assembly nor is is legal to drive without fenders.

It depends on where your from Slammed. Here in California, we have to go by the dreaded CVC or california vehicle code. I used to drive around with one on my dash board, because the cops in my area always hasled me and they tried to use the CVC against me. In other states, the code is a lot less restrictive.

i was pulled over once for not having a hood, and no front lp, which i still have no clue where that went
