you do not want a reverse 4 link, period (geometry on it is all retarded). a wishbone is the best way to go to keep the gas tank in the stock location but you will still want to raise it so you don't drag through it. you will also want to raise the bed floor to hide everything. you going bag over axle or bag on bar?

I would buy some 1x1 square and some fuel line, make a basket at the end of the frame to accommodate the stock tank. Then do a clean/simple triangulated 4-link with your bags on the bars...

If not that then do like everyone above recommended, a wishbone setup...

I wonder if having the lower link bars like that, extended past the axle for the bags, would solve the reverse link geometry problem?

Thats just weird... Especially how those shocks are mounted, lol...

seems like to me those shocks arent serving that much of a purpose.

Yah they dont look like they would do very much. Stay away from the reverse links like maztang said. You could do the wishbone which would be the easiest or you could do a parallel 3 link with a panhard bar or a watts link.

This is a parallel 4-link with a watts setup...same basic concept as a panhard bar, but way better imo!
