yeh on the cowl when I saw that I was thinkin , man , I cant believe I never thought of it.

Bernt eh, would that be the same bernt that works with Boyd C. these days?

I'm quite sure when Bernt was doin his own thing, thats what his shop was called.

To me those trucks are as cool as the day they were built, but I never was into the crazy graphics, although I had mad respect for the work ability

Yeah, it was the same Bernt. He was Boyd's painter way back when, then he opened his own shop in the 90's right down the street from Boyd's old Stanton shop. Then Boyd moved and took Bernt with him. I am sure there is a lot more to that story tho'.

yeah,I really really like that cowl work, that looks sooo nice. The entire truck is just smooth and clean. The rounded wall edges for the walkthru are a nice touch too.

Thanks for the kind comments guys. The cowl work was an idea I had that I had trouble doing myself. If you look at the first pic in that series you can see that I warped the sh*t out of the stock metal when I welded in the patches. Bernt went to the junkyard and got another one to re-do. He captured what I wanted perfectly. He's a real craftsman. The rounded edges of the walk-thru were a compromise. I wanted them square but It was going to be too flimsy without some kind of bracing. They put some 1x1 square tube on a diagonal through there and it turned out super strong. Now I am in the process of building a rear seat with a fiberglass peice that acts as an arm rest/ speaker pod. It will flow over the rounded edge to tie the interior together. And my tonnau (sp) cover will be cut down to cover from the rear seat to the tailgate.
