k, so im having an issue getting the caliper off? i want to change my pads.. i can get the bottom bolt off, but i do not understand the top part to take it off.. any help? thanks
well, once you get the 12mm or 13mm(cant remember) off, the caliper will swing over push the caliper piston back in with a C clamp ann pop in the new pads and re assemble
So, once you get the bottom bolt off, you should be able to swing the caliper up. One you clear the pads, the caliper will slide off the top if you push it toward the engine (away from you). It's not really a bolt, its more of a greased rod.
MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR ROTORS TURNED OR CHECKED OR THE NEW BREAK JOB WILL BE POINTLESS... YOU CAN'T TELL BY LOOKING AT THEM WITH JUST YOUR EYES!!!!
i have new rotors.. k, yea i took off that cap an dsaw grease and felt something.. i was confused THANKS GUYS!
and re grease your slides....trust me on that. didnt do mine once on my Acura....caused hella problems after that
