Do rag tops leak?

I had a convertible bitd and it leaked bad. Do the rag tops leak? I am seriously thinking about getting one but I take my showers at home I dont need one while I drive. Thanks for the input.

I have an Inalfa power ragtop in my 2007 Accord. It doesn't leak. I had a big one made by street beat in my last wagon and it did leak. I would not do a street beat rag top in a daily driver! However, if it is just mainly a show truck and you never had to drive it in the rain, and you were carefull about spraying water in from the side while washing it... it would be ok.

So the sides are where you have to worry, not the front?

They leak...end of story. They dont seal up well enough and the flex from your roof panel will allow it to leak while you driving. Look cool and oin sunny days is nice

IMO this was the only area I ever had a leak (sides). Not sure of the brand as it was 12-15 years old. Another slider I installed about 14 years ago on a 1988 Cutlass FWD basically refused to leak under any condition except a pressure washer directly from the side.

Cannot say much for the current offerings of sliders (rag tops).

Never had one myself, but everyone ive ever heard of having one says they cant get them to not leak...

what part about I have one and it doesnt leak did you guys not get? If you buy a quality Inalfa or Webasto one it will NOT leak. If you buy a $150 street beat one it will leak. SOOOOOO you can put one in and not have any leaks.

i love mine it does not leak sept for the sides from a pressure washer but the latches suuuuck mine is a webasto

me too. i always heard that street beat was pretty good quality. good to know its not before i wasted money on one. because one of these days ill be rockin the rag... haha
