im trying to install my weber today and i was taking everything off and i had a few things i didnt know was important or not. Its an 87 B2000. First of all there is a little plate on the front of the intake with a little sensor or somthing on it with two vacuum lines goign to it on is front the intake the other is going to the dist. is that needed or can i go stright to dist from intake. Second what is the thing bolted on the side of the intake under the carb. It also has a few lines running to it is that important or can i get rid of that. next thing is there is a sensor screwed into the intake with a plug going to it will that be need right next to it it is just plugged off with a plug. I will try to get pics as soon as i can thanks

First question: You can go to the dist from the intake. Second question: I think you are talking about the I think its called EGR valve, you can discount it and leave it there or take it off and make a plate to cover the whole. Last question: Its a water temp sensor for the intake so you can get rid of it. Hope that helps

so the plug in the intake is a water temp sensor. IM assuming its not the on e for the guage on the dash. Also right next to the EGR vale there is a red wire is that needed.

the one on your radiator is the one for the guage so the intake one can be taken out and plugged off. cant remember at the moment what the red wire is for.
