so i have started purchasing parts to bag the dawg.
i got a dual pack of viar 380s of a friend brand new for real cheap. i was gonna purchase an air management set but i can't get them without the compressors. i want to run 3/8 values. what size orface cause i found some on airbagit.com with a 4mm orface. whats a good type of valve to use?
also would a 5 gal tank(found one cheap with 9 ports) be good or should i run a 7 or 8 gal? i need a list of the parts i would need to bag ma truck cuz once i start i want everything i need. i plan on running a bag on bars setup with a superlift 4 link from suicide but not sure. trying to get the most bang for ma buck so any suggestions are welcome.
thanks for any help or suggestions
SMC valves are all I run.The 4 link from Suicide Doors is great 4 link..A 5 gallon tank would be best with those compressors.AVS switch boxes are good.
thanks
guess i will pick up that 5gallon while i got the cash. where is the best place to get the values. and should i get 8 cause im hoping to do side by side but i don't know if i have enough clearance. should i get check values also?
when you hit the side your tires stay square to the ground and the body kicks over. you should have more fender clearance hitting the sides than when it's layed out
having 8 valves also helps the handling of your truck. having each wheel hooked up to the same system whether its the front or back will cause air transfer under cornering. if you turn left, the weight transfers the the right causing the air to escape out of the right bags into the left unless you have sway bars to keep it level. make sense?
should i run 1/2in valves?
i have a friend that is giving me 4 1/2in and some check values. i just don't know if it is overkill for ma truck thought.
1/2 ich is fun! you don't really need the check valvs except maybe fot the compressors
I'm runnin' 3/8" all around and it's pretty good cause the truck is light. I just recently ordered some 1/2" valves for the front though to get a faster lift and possibaly a lil' hop. The valves are SMC and I got 'em from The Bag Shack, but only for the front cause with the 3/8" valves I have out back is enough to get the rear off the air a lil' bit.
If you wanna clown I suggest more gallons like 2 fives, I got a 12 right now and its pretty good, but with bigger valves comes bigger air loss everytime you tap them switches.......somethin' to think about.
