Been thinking about something for a few weeks now. Just want hear your opinion. Its not going to change my mind on what you say just curious about what you think. I will hopfully be starting to build my Mazda xcab long bed, and I've been thinking about doing the old skool air shock setup front and rear instead of bags. Still undecide about it I know it will be slow but I'm not worried about that. Its just that I'm an older guy and that was the shit back in the day and I like to do stuff different them everybody else.
man i remember air shocks in the front. worked good, just took alot of psi to get it going. id say hell go for it bro.
It sounds like a good idea.Air shocks were the thing back in the day. I guess im showing my age .What is the worst thing that could happen----- You not like it .I say go for it.
there is a reason better things have been invented/adapted/perfected. air shocks suck.
Do as you wish it's your ride...Nostalgic..that's cool.
Not sure but could you possibly bore out the air inlet on the air shock for more air and quicker lift??
I say do it also. I wanted to do this a while ago. We did that to my buddies back end of his s10 in highschool and it last forever with valves. We used 1/2" air line cause it slid over the airshock fitting and used a hose clamp, never had a problem.
Good Luck, Show us pics when its done.
Man that thing has a lock up Looks cool, with them shocks.
its like everything man! if your gonna go that route than you should do a total throwback truck...crazy day glow paint, three spoke 16's...split tailgate and the normal 90's add ons..i think its killer...everything that's old is new again...GO FOR IT!!
