title questions

Does anyone know if there is a way to clear a title of a vehicle that has a rebuilt title? Reason I ask is that my tacoma has a rebuilt title, and because of this Im not able to take advantage of the buy back program, so this leaves me with a truck with a frame that is rusting out . Any info you guys have would be great.

once it has a rebuilt title thats it for that vin. It will always be a rebuilt rig.

From what I understand once a vehicle title has been deemed "salvage/rebuilt" it will stay that way until the car becomes a pile of melted metal...

you cannot clear a title once it has been rebuilt or salvaged

they are pretty much right on that. one thing that wouldnt hurt to try is to call or stop by a state patrol office. since they are the ones that do the inspections on trailers and getting salvaged titles, they might be able to lead you in the right direction if there is anything you can do. if i were you, i would be very inclined to sell the truck if there is nothing you can do about the title.

Now Most of this is true...it varies state to state. There is actually a way I believe in MS and MO to reinstate the title...however that is VERY VERY VERY Hard. If your truck is modified in any way...forget about it. Oh yeah did I mention that it is VERY VERY VERY Hard to do?
