Hey guys. I've got a question. I should be getting my truck back soon and it will have a smooth roll pan. I'm going to need to fab up a tag bracket. I've seen them in the bed towards the tailgate and back up near the rear glass and coming from under the pan. Let me know what some of you guys have done. Pics would be great. Thanks guys.

Before I got my lexan window I used a dealer tag magnet.Stuck it on the tailgate when driving and took it off when I stopped somewhere.

Well, Both my trucks have a sunken box on the center of the pan. However, I really like the ones that pop up from either the front bed wall or the tailgate. I think that is what I am going to do on my orange truck. It is in need of a new pan. I think AVS has a kit? or suicide doors? I'll have to look. Another option is a bracket that bolts under the pan and puts the plate up in front of the gate. You could modify a trailer bracket to do that. Don't forget, in most states you need to have a tag light too. Good luck.

yeah. my plan was to use one of the billet tag rings that has the third brake light and tag light built into it. i saw a picture of a bracket in the gallery that was made like a spider web. i thought about making something similar. ill post the pic in the morning. im posting from my phone right now so i cant.

you can make one for under 10.00 then go buy a 2 bold led light from a parts house for 15.00

go buy an aluminum strip (36" or longer) cut the strip in half, and bend it so you can mount one side of your license plate to each strap then bolt those straps to your truck. mount the tag light at the bottom of the plate aiming up, and conceal the wiring from behind. its a simple modification. i should do a write up on it. if you have a roll pan it will be easier. use the factory bolt holes on the original roll pan and bolt the brackets to it, then mount the plate in the middle and about 1/2" -1" off your rollpan.

This here is kind of the idea I'm wanting to shoot for. But put my own spin on it. I just kind of wanted to see what everyone else had done...
