Question about Door Trim?

Hey guys. I'm planning on going to the local yard Saturday and pic up a tailgate for my truck and a few other parts. My main questions is that I'm planning on trying to get the chrome trim that goes on the door at the bottom of the window. What is the easiest way to get that trim piece off without damaging it and breaking all the clips? Also can someone put a wrench on the bolts that hold the tailgate on and let me know what size it is? My truck is in the shop and I dont have access to it and I'm trying to carry as few tools into the yard as I have to. Thanks guys.

there is a lil nub in the center of eah clip use a small screw driver push the nub they pop right off

on the new truck i got to looking and was like WTF that was easier..lol

WEll guys I scored the tailgate this morning. Great price. $20. Had a little problem. Didnt get the door moldings. will have to go back for them. We've had around 7 inches of rain in the past three days so the yard was a mess. I got there at 7:15 this morning and all the mud was still frozen so i was good for about an hour. Got the gate off and headed over to the ext cab for the moldings. they had pushed to cars up against each side of it and i couldnt get to the doors. Plus due to the rain it was a swamp around the truck. Im hoping to try and go back in a few weeks and try again. Here's some pics of the gate once i got home. It's not perfect but is by far better than whats on my truck. Ill be taking it to the shop today. Oldskewlkool is starting on the truck today.
