upper control arm question

when i lift my truck the top bag bracket hits the upper control arm. if i cut out where it hits will it break the ball joints loose or gain more lift.

You can trim the upper control arm but you may run int o problems.The ball joint will come into contact with the bag and possibly rub a hole in it over time.
