Thx cody & paroach...much appreciated!
Hazmat suit....LOL BJ your not right...She went today & picked up the crib we ordered a while back....as for the wipes, diapers, etc., her mom & dad have that pretty well covered since he works @ Wallyworld...they have been stocking up since we found out Jr was on the way....other than those, we're pretty well set for the initial "shock & awe" Jr...
I had considered just picking up some aluminum angle & tubing from Lowe's/Home Depot and making the frame & hinges myself then buying a set of the gas shocks from vatozone....only issue there is finding a large enough piece of sheet metal to cover it with w/o having to piece several together...not to mention finding a decent type of weather stripping to use.....it could be done, and prolly for less than what you could buy a checkmate cover for & have it shipped....
nice to see all the progress and the whole thing will come out real nice when finished fer sure
good to see a high poster actually have truck work done.
lol
Thx dan, just goes to show ya, with a lot of patients, time, help from fellow b-scener's over the years, anything is possible....
All you folks from AL....I may have to get all of your towns in my blackberry and stop by and say hi if I am in the neighbor hood....its official we are now selling in AL and panhandle of FL.
Anyways...nice looking build man. Glad to hear you got her out in the world.
ahh i like those wheels.. black with polished lip or how ever its done ... Def Nice!
Thx Jeff, If you get up around Huntsville, let me kno, oh, there is a pretty big show in Ardmore (right on the TN/AL state line on I-65) at the end of august I think.....Hopefully by then I can have the interior done, and running good enough to attend...
Thx Cody, there is a better pic of the wheels in my garage...the cell pics were kinda poopy...
So I think you've said something about it before, but what kinda hp do you think the engine is making?
I origninally was aiming for 10.5:1 comp which my dyno program said should have put out @ 193 hp +/- 5% to the flywheel, but ended up in the neighborhood of 9.8:1 comp which showed it to put out @ 180 hp +/- 5%... those #'s are close cause I had to swag the cfm #'s for the carbs & head since neither was flo-benched, but I was conservative with those #'s....if you take 5% from 180 = 171, then deduct 15% for loss thru the drivetrain, it should put out @ 145hp to the rear wheels....following the same with the oem #'s 85hp -5% comes out to 71 hp, so it should be double factory....
hes sandbaggin. He just wants me to bring my truck to Huntsville and do a PINKS show so he can win my truck and have it as well.Hee-hee.BJ
