i really like the rear treatment. id like to see some more pics of it. very original
Thanks Mikey, I'll get some better ones once it's out of the garage, the light sux in there as you can tell from some of the pics....not to mention I still have alittle grinding to do around the splitters, when I welded them in I didn't have the right bit for my die grinder to get in some of the crevices, so it is still a little "raw"...A little grinding, some filler, sanding & coat of primer. It should come out looking pretty neat, deffinately different than everyones smooth'd rears..
going for the subaru brat look those seats in the bed?....lol
Lol haha, you busted me cold Mikey, I've been making a mazbrat lol.....that gives me an idea....put a WRX engine in a brat & set it for drifting, you could sell tickets for a ride in the back to the spectators...Nah, really tho, just ran out of space in the garage...truck, motorcycle, riding & push mower, bench seat, engine stand, engine hoist, two book/parts shelves, tool box, two compressors & a work bench...which leads me to my next project once the trucks up & running & reliable....clean out the garage, and do a little "freshening up"
Man your garage almost sounds like mine. LOL I ended up loosening the handle on the push mower and hanging it from the wall...takes up less space and not like I use it anyways. I can work for two hours and pay for someone to mow it and have three extra hours to spend doing something else.
I hear ya, it takes me about an hour to mow & weed eat the lawn with the riding mower, now the push mower is a different story, it used to take about an hour and a half just to mow, then I still had 20 min of weedeating to be done....I guess I'm gonna have to break down and build me a small storage shed in the back yard (was hoping to put a fence up first) to store all the lawn equipment in so both the wife & I will have a parking spot in the garage...
on a different note....I got the call to come pickup one of my intakes a few minutes ago, being as it's a little late this afternoon and my welder had plans already, I'll leave a little early tomorrow afternoon and go to pick it up & carry it to my machinist buddy to plane the flanges so they are nice & flat with no air leaks
NICE....pics pics pics when you get it.
^^Most deffinately, I'm planning on cutting out of wk a little early today, swing by & pick up the intake, and hopefully make it to the house before UPS runs so I can sign for my steering wheel I ordered last week...
I may try to bolt up the intake & carbs this evening (time permitting) for a quick pic, but will have to take it back off and carry it to my bud for final machining tomorrow afternoon...Hopefully he can knock that out and I can get it put back on this weekend...after that, all that's lacking are two brake lines & a clutch line & she'll be ready for the first cranking...
ooohhh im soo excited. this is awsome!
Danger-danger.If u flood them 45DCOE's and that mutha backfires u are going to burn ur house down.LOL>BJ
