Yes Mazdawg, they're bored out, which is why the caps fit. Dropped90,I had the opportunity to get a set of chrome ones, but they were much further away and cost more than these ones.
Hoc,I really like that idea about painting the inside....I might actually try that,I think it would look sweet! Awesome idea. See,old people are good for something, haha!
I pulled into work today and some people asked me what was different with the truck because they could tell something was different, but didn't know until I pointed it out,and a couple other guys noticed right away and were like "that looks way better than the smooth Cadillac caps!"
Then when I was getting gas at 7/11 on my way home from work tonight,as I was inside paying, this really clean and nicely done up 2000ish Civic coupe with a bodykit, carbon fibre trunk, wing and a hood, white with black rims, dual exhaust...like,I hate Hondas, but this thing was sweet....Anyways,2 guys are in it and roll up beside my truck and are just staring at it and as I walk outside towards the truck they saw me coming and took off,LOL. They must have been admiring the rust.
Very nice! Props for the innovative thinking and I definately think HOC is onto something. I realize some might think it looks cleaner with the caps but having a wheel that looks unique from the rest is worth having. Heck, while were on that subject, isn't that the whole reason for customizing your ride in the first place.
It's definately a lot better than everyone driving around in identical bone stock red B2200's. (Sorry in advance to anyone with a red Mazda - first color that came to mind).
