i recently posted about a sanden engine driven compressor problem i was having. i was told to tap out the hose where i cut it off from the ac lines to 1/4", well a quarter inch fitting is bigger than the tube where i cut the ac line at. im running half inch air line im stuped any help or pics would be greatly apprediated.

you will have to drill the hole out slightly smaller that 1/4 and then tap it. you can drill it out to any size you want depending on tap size and fitting size you plan on using.

Wait, it sounds like you cut the tube and are trying to tap the tube out? You need to tap the actual head of the compressor out and put the fitting in there.

Drilled and tapped mine to 1/2" pipe thread. Intake side running 1/2" air line in - pressure side running 3/8" air line.

hope this helps

exactly what elbine said. make sure you take hte head off to tape it or you will get shavings in the comp and fry her out. this is the only pic i have of my old setup right now, hope it helps.
